Demonic Resurrection - The Return To Darkness (2010)

In 2008 the band parted ways with Pradeep (Lead Guitars) who was replaced by Daniel Rego. This new line-up recorded the 3rd full length album from August through December 2009. The album completes the darkness trilogy and is the bands most diverse album to date.

The new album boasts of a new unique sound which has Nile and Behemoth like Middle-Eastern influences to the melo-death type sounds of Skyfire with black metal influences which reminds us of Dimmu Borgir and Ancient.

Of course I'm not going to boast of their new logo designed by Michal "Xaay" Loranc himself. This is the third part of their Darkness trilogy. The 10 track of pure Demonic metal gets in your head and and desecrates the purity. This breakthrough of Demonic Resurrection has completely caught the world by storm. The band is well polished and has reached the skies with their well-polished musical greatness.Although most of the songs are quite lengthy, you wont get bored (cause you'll be lost in the realm of demonic darkness, exploring nature's darkest secrets)

One of the best Indian Metal acts to express their love and passion for the whole Metal scene. The least we can do is buy their merchandise and support the act. Cheers! And Stay Demonic.

Current Line-Up:

The Demonstealer - Guitars/Vocals (Reptilian Death)
Daniel Rego - Guitars

Virendra Kaith - Drums (Abhor (Ind), Cranium (Ind), Khiladi, Pin Drop Violence, Prayag)

Just A Few Well Placed Words-
The album kick starts with a brutal dose of Demonic Metal from our very own Demonic Resurrection (‘Beyond the Darkness’ EP). Throughout the five tracks in the EP, we see a significant departure in their sound from their first album. We still see the perfect blend of clean vocals with gut wrenching growling, skin blasting drums and head banging riffs completed with melody from the keys. Songs to be noted from this EP are “Journey To Solaris” and “And the Dream Will Cease To Exist”. Also, “The Fallen Star” is an instrumental track which gives an apt ending to DR’s part in the compilation.

Demonic Resurrection - A Darkness Descends (2005)

http://www.beowolfproductions.com/DemonicResurrection-ADarknessDescends.jpg

'A Darkness Descends' is the second full-length release from the Demonic Resurrection stable. This release has come after a long time spent by the Demonstealer in stabilizing the band with a new line-up following several changes after the release of Demonic Resurrection's first full-length album 'Demonstealer' in 2000.

‘A Darkness Descends’ comprises of 12 tracks that have surely done Mumbai-based Demonic Resurrection proud. With their unique blend of aggressive, melodic, power metal and Behemoth-like vocals, Demonic Resurrection have carved a niche for themselves in the Indian underground extreme metal scene.
Nearly 5 years in the making, ADD is a must-listen not only because it is an excellent set of songs, but also because the final mix is pristine - every instrument can be clearly heard, while simultaneously blending together without the album sounding over-produced.

There are so many CDs that get by on one or two fantastic songs.. ADD has three - Frozen Portrait, Apocalyptic Dawn and The Summoning are nothing short of orgasmic.
Carnival of Depravity begins with an eerie gypsy solo; Where Shadows Lie is very well-structured; Invoking the Demons starts out slow and then really picks up pace after about two mins, while A Darkness Descends and Spirits Of The Mystic Mountains define fantastic riffs.
Going by this album, DR has really hit their stride and they're only getting better with time.

1. Prelude To Darkness 01:01
2. Dreams Of The Dead 04:59
3. Apocalyptic Dawn 06:17
4. Behind The Mask Of God 04:37

Kryptos - Spiral Ascent (2004)

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_EvCBSAQ6abQ/R7rsCXdRijI/AAAAAAAADDs/QPqNfvRexNw/s400/front.jpg

Kryptos was formed in the winter of 1998 from the remnants of many a beer keg. Ganesh and Nolan, who by some glitch in the cosmos, were classmates, decided to take their love for heavy metal

to the next level. After spending countless beer guzzling nights listening to metal, metal and more metal, Kryptos was born. In came Chinglen on the skins and Kryptos made their live debut at Vibrations '98 at I.I.Sc, Bangalore. The three guzzlers went from strength to strength razing venues all over the country to the ground with their ripping brand of heavy metal.

The first chink (no pun intended) in the band's armour appeared when Chinglen had to leave the band due to unfortunate circumstances. But unfazed and undeterred, the band recruited drum wiz and beer monster, Ryan Colaco in the fall of 2001. Kryptos further added to their full metal arsenal when they recruited Akshay a.k.a Axe on guitars during the end of 2002. With a stable, alcohol fuelled lineup, Kryptos is better than ever and is all set to rip their way into the international metal scene and firmly put Indian metal on the map.

In a world ruled by mindless trends and braindead music, Kryptos are unabashedly 110% heavy metal and make no bones about it. Influenced by the classic gods of metal like Black Sabbath, Judas Priest,Iron Maiden along with other extreme/melodic metal stalwarts like Dark Tranquillity, Nevermore, Iced earth, In Flames, Sodom, Candlemass, Death etc. They play metal because it's in their blood and are a higly intense live act capable of raising hell at any venue with their bonecrushing brand of metal as audiences from cities like Bangalore, Bombay, Mysore, Pune etc will testify.

Circa 2004, Kryptos are all set to take the metal community by storm with their soon to be released debut album titled Spiral Ascent. Armed with stunning cover art designed by none other than the masterful Niklas Sundin of Dark Tranquillity, the album will feature 9 tracks of smouldering, spine snapping \M/ETAL. Whether it may be live or on disc, you can be certain these guys will guarantee anyone a highly lethal dose of heavy metal fury.
